Who am I?
My name is Liz Blount.
I have spent most of my career working in Human Resources in the NHS, with other roles including Press Officer and Musical Play Leader!
I currently divide my time between working as a coach, HR consultancy work and running a massage therapy business (nurtureyork.co.uk).
Originally from Essex, I now live in York with my husband and two teenage sons. I love music – I play the piano and help lead the Holgate Community Gospel Choir. I also enjoy drawing and painting, and walking on the beach.
Why I am a coach
In 2015 I qualified as a coach with Novum, to enable me to provide coaching to individuals within my organisation, helping improve performance and confidence, supporting changing or difficult roles, identifying goals and career paths.
I am an Associate Member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
I love coaching, being able to give people the time and space they need to get the circle of thoughts out of their head and be able to find the way forward that they want.
I get to meet such different people, and am invited to share in their goals and their challenges. It is a real privilege to be taken into people’s confidence and to walk alongside them as they find their path.
The “a ha!” moment – when you can almost see the lightbulb flashing above someone’s head as they realise something fundamental – is always special.
